Four Closets, Double the Piles and One Minor Toe Injury

Having a day off before you move to China means another day to prepare! I spent the day reorganizing everything we own and will not use before we leave. The closets have only clothes and shoes; the bookshelf holds only the wii and our DVR. There are no longer things being stored under beds (I was surprised at how organized I kept that stuff under the bed and don’t remember the last time I needed any of it). I also had to make a phone call to my mom and dad to tell that that they will be the lucky ones who take the stuff that can’t fit in storage.
According the the post it on the wall...Mom and Dad this is yours! (Well half of it)
This one is being donated
This is coming with us...we have everything from our wedding album, to games, to a convection oven to (thanks to BJ's) bulk shampoo!
Getting all of this done makes me feel like I have been productive today...however, NOW EVERYTHING WE OWN IS TAKING OVER THE HOUSE!!! I can't wait until we are in China and can settle.

Counting the Days While Counting the Piles

I am not the kind of girl that journals but I am very excited about documenting our time in China. Hopefully the internet will cooperate with us. Part of my New Years Resolution is to take lots of pictures and keep in touch with people. This blog will hopefully keep everyone informed of how we are doing and will share stories of our everyday experiences as well as sharing our travel experiences.

My usual goal for the New Year (brace yourselves this is exciting) is to have all my closets re-organized and get rid of all the clutter! This year my house is full of piles and extra stuff, shipping piles, air freight piles, carry on piles, trash piles, goodwill piles, storage piles, and there is the pile of stuff I don't know what to do with yet.
Phase 1

This past year has gone by so fast and it makes me think about all we have planned for our year in China. Are we going to have time to do EVERYTHING? The list of places we want to see gets longer every time we talk to people about it. I do know one thing no matter what we are able to do and how many places we can go we will cherish every minute of it!

Although we don't have a final moving date we will be leaving around February 15th and we couldn't be more excited about the move!
