Zack is a routine guy. When it's time to go he gets his shoes and sits in my lap so I can put them on, he gets up and brings me my shoes and points to my bag. He says "tees" and points to my car keys, and helps me press the "bun" to open the garage door.
He has so many new words (most sound the same) and he is really good at explaining what he wants. If he doesn't get it he throws a short fit (short but throws things and himself).
He loves to play with crayons...sometimes he even colors!
He loves "tsoo" (trains), "tucks" (trucks), "cara" (cars), and of course "ba" (balls). He could watch and chase "daw" dogs and "du" (ducks) all day long and is doing really well with his animal sounds.
He sleeps in his big boy bed (a twin mattress on the floor). And even though I had this awesome plan to start early with just naps and slowly move to bedtime and if that wasn't working out we would have plenty of time before Hunter needed the crib. Zack decided to go cold turkey and has actually slept later and he has been taking longer naps. Now we just need him to realize that the box of toys in his room is for him to play with when he wakes up which would give me a few min. to pull myself together in the morning.
I am very excited that Zack has taken a sudden interest in "bay" (babies). When he sees pictures of our family from a while ago he points out "da" and "bay". I point to myself and say "mama" he looks at me like whatever, and points out dad and the baby. I'm sure there will be a day where he calls me something other than "dis" (the word he uses for all things he can't say). I'm even hoping there will be a time that I am the favorite parent.
I can't believe he is already a year and a half old! Wow Zack!
