Birthday Trifecta

Easter and moving kind of threw a wrench in Zack's birthday and we basically didn't do anything for him...scratch that...at this age it's not about doing it for him it's about me...I know that, but I love doing it.  We decided that birthday parties will be our kids present from us and if someday there is a special gift they want they can choose that rather than a party.  I took my teacher skills and put them to work for this low key party for Zack's friends.

On Saturday we had our families over to celebrate Adam's birthday, Zack's birthday and Grandma Marum's birthday:
I made 3 different cupcakes for each birthday person (beer and bacon, Oreo cookie, cinnamon blueberry with lemon buttercream)

This face is why I threw the party...he loved everyone singing

We took advantage of the beautiful weather at a local park

I think if I make it to 94 this is how I would want to spend my birthday

See, this is why I tell Zack not to walk in front of the swings
