Half Moon

When I was really young we lived in upstate NY, growing up I went back each summer to my grandparents lake house.  One of the top 5 reasons I loved going back up north were the half moon cookies from Hemstroughts Bakery.
Thanks to Pinterest I found this recipe.
It as supposed to be the exact recipe.  The recipe as origionally fit to make several hundred cookies and they widdled it down to make a couple dozen and I cut it in half.  That being said the only thing that didn't taste completly authentic was the chocolate glaze...which is awesome on the origonal and a bit too "chocolaty" in m batch...which doesn't make sense...but it does.

It was tradition in my house to eat half moon's on your half birthday...so I decided I would make them for Zack's half birthday.

Well I decided that WE would make them...

What a handsome helper...
