"The Hood": 3 Months Later

I just wanted to document what our section of the neighborhood looked like in July 2013 so I can see the changes over the next several years...long term living is pretty nice!

The Lake

My favorite place on earth...I could try to describe it but really you need to go there to really understand the amazingness that is Lake Pleasant, NY.
Here's what we did all week:

we hung out with great-grandma

we played with cousins, aunts and grandmas

we ate quite a bit

we stole hearts

well...none of us sat and relaxed but those without young children did

leave it to the bubble machine to help capture 3 little boys in one picture

we were up early making it possible for mommy to get this picture

we read...well I didn't...I'm still waiting for the day when I'll be able to read more than a page of a book.

we ate sand...

realized how yucky it was

but decided to eat more...and yes I decided to take a picture rather than stop him...is it a mommy fail if I use these as blackmail?

we took boat rides

we got one family photo...the only picture of me the whole trip

we played on the playground

Hunter is really growing up...

He is sort of sitting up...

He refuses to lay flat...

He got to take his first beach trip and meet some more family members...

Poor guy has refulx that hurts him all night thankfully he is happy and easy going all day...

He is so huggable and if its possible he gets cuter every day...

4th of July

I took a bunch of pictures of the boys wearing red white and blue...

but that was a week ago. On the actual 4th we celebrated a day off for daddy (yay) with some Dunkin Donuts some major play and a trip downtown.

Raleigh is one of our favorite places to go...

They had carnival rides

train rides, food and lots of fun booths and music.  Zack loves walking around downtown

and Hunter (the people watcher) loves flashing smiles at anyone that walks by.

Happy Birthday Grandpa

My dad has a summer birthday...which means we were hardly ever home to celebrate.  This year I decided to take the boys (giving Adam a free day to work on my shelves) to Huntersville and surprise grandpa.

Scottie talked dad into meeting him for lunch and when he got to the restaurant he was greeted by his biggest fan...

after lunch we went to a park where dad played with Zack...exactly what he was planning to do on his one day off a week...

oh well...he can relax...sometime...not soon since Zack expects "de ba" to play with him 100% of the time.

Thankfully Zack allowed Hunter some quality time.

As if spending a day at the park with grandpa wasn't special enough the boys got to visit him at his shop and sit on boats...
