Thanksgiving 2014

Two days after my due date...this meant I could have a very new born, be in the hospital OR still be pregnant and therefore so miserable no one would want to be around me.

Turns out Stella made her debut super early so in the hospital Adam (because he had a ton a free time while I was having contractions monitored so the doctors could decided if I would have a baby or stay in the hospital on bed rest) planned a psudo-thanksgiving dinner for 2 (because lets be real Z and H wouldn't eat it).  Adam cooked the entire meal while the kids and I snuggled, played and watched the parade.

We had turkey breasts stuffed with stuffing and wrapped in bacon...yes...we did...and it was delicious. We had sweet potato caserole, green beans and rolls.  This was my favorite Thanksgiving meal to date.

Meet Stella Grace

Baby girl came today and she is perfect...

technically she was 12 hours premature, so they had the preemie team in the delivery room as soon as they saw a healthy sized baby and heard her sweet cry they left.  We had a few nursing issues and as soon as the LC listed off several things that we would need to work on I asked for formula...

thankfully the nurses I had were really supportive of my decision and even though I thought I would be ok with it they sat with me and explained all the things I needed to hear (I'm working hard to not feel like this was a 3rd failure) whoever said the bond isn't as strong if you don't nurse didn't have difficulties.  As soon as I put that bottle in her mouth all the barriers went away and I could focus on my girl she is so perfect I think her biggest brother agrees...

False Alarm(s)

I am so done with this pregnancy.  I thought I might literally be done several times...in fact at 34 weeks we went to the hospital in the middle of the night.

I've been having contractions 3 minutes apart that last over a minute each...this lasts for about 5 hours and then stops.  We went to the hospital the first time but I didn't like sitting there trying not to have a baby and leaving with unnecessary comments from security...because a super pregnant lady who was hooked up to machines and her husband who sat in an uncomfortable chair all night and are leaving without a cute little baby have a sense of humor.

This has happened several times and at my doctors appointment this morning the doctor told me I need to go into the hospital each time.  I'm having a lighter version tonight but I really don't want to go to the hospital on Halloween.  Hopefully it will stop soon and I can at least get some sleep tonight.

super excited Adam was snapping pictures while I was imagining giving birth at 34 weeks to a preemie and thinking about all the things I didn't get to do before she came...and I didn't have a Halloween costume for her...oh goodness...the thoughts that run through your head.

Halloween

My kids are totally lame...which I didn't expect at all.

Hunter hated his costume so he went as a kid in a batman t-shirt...

Zack wanted to go home after 20 minutes and didn't like any of his candy...

WHAT???
