Well according to the street performer who entertained us while we waited to board the ferry to the Statue of Liberty. He would ask people where they are from and then sing a song about them.
This morning we woke up at 7:00 and were WIDE AWAKE…which was great it allowed us to get an early start. We had breakfast at Dunkin Doughnuts and took the subway to battery park where we got our ferry tickets and waited in line.We spent about an hour at the Statue of Liberty
then spent about an hour at Ellis Island before heading back to Manhattan. We walked to ground zero (they were doing a lot of road construction around the area so we didn’t get too close, then had a delicious lunch at a NY bakery. We took a taxi to the half price ticket booth and got tickets to West Side Story. The ticket booth we went to was right at the South Street Sea Port which is a very cool area to hang around…unfortunately we were crashing and I was getting cranky.
After a beer on the street we went back to the hotel to take a rest before dinner and the show.
