37 Weeks

how cool is it that I have this picture of me pregnant standing near the HK harbor!
I am so happy to finally be considered full term!  I am so ready for the baby to come…at my last appointment Zachary was the same weight I was when I was born 2 weeks early, so I know a baby can survive and be healthy at this time.  I have another appointment tuesday and I am hoping the doctor says he is coming soon.  I had a few of the labor symptoms I have read about…however I am extremely frustrated at the fact that symptoms could mean 2 weeks, or 2 hours and you may or may not experience the symptoms etc.  I need a checklist!!!!!  Last week I started feeling flu like symptoms (but not the flu), my back is getting worse and worse, I am feeling a lot of pressure on my pelvic bone, and I have had a lot of tightening in the lower abdomen and I have had some contractions (Braxton hix) usually in the middle of the night.  I don’t know if this stuff means anything because if you search the internet long enough…anything could mean labor.  A few weeks ago I mentioned that my lips looked like I had collagen injected…well I actually read “I can always tell that someone is ready when they look like they have had collagen injections in their lips”…this comment was from a nurse in an OB office.  I just have to be patient and know that the baby will come on his birthday…

I had a great week in Hong Kong.  The time spent with friends and wondering around has been priceless…not to mention hanging out with Adam during our “anniversary weekend”.  If Zachary is still in the belly next weekend maybe we will celebrate again!

*****Cool Week 37 Fact: Isn’t being full term cool enough…wasn’t it just yesterday I saw 2 lines on the pee stick?
